Me (right) and my best co-authored work (left, joint work with Francesca Zaffora Blando)

Hello!

My name is Krzysztof (Chris) Mierzewski.

I am an Assistant Professor in the Philosophy Department at Carnegie Mellon University.

I am interested in logic in most of its forms (mathematical, philosophical, pure and applied), and in its connections with probability theory. I also have interests in the foundations of probability and statistical inference, formal epistemology, the foundations of mathematics, and the philosophy of science.

From 2020 to 2023 I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Logic at Carnegie Mellon. Before that, I obtained my PhD in the Philosophy Department at Stanford University, where I was a member of the Logical Dynamics Lab (CSLI).

Before that, I studied logic at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation, University of Amsterdam. Before that, I studied philosophy and mathematics at the University of Bristol and the London School of Economics.
